On 06-26-2022, an 11-year-old boy lost his life to gun violence in the Roseland Townhomes of Dallas Texas. This would make the fourth child killed in this community, and over 10 children injured due to gun violence within the past 3 years.

As a former resident of Roseland Townhomes of 5 years I am hurt and outraged and I can no longer sit Idle praying and hoping for change for safer communities in low-income neighborhoods and schools. We cannot become numb to putting children faces on t-shirts and mothers burying their children due to gun violence.

I am asking that you stand with me in this fight to protect our children in their own communities, that you stand with me and demand that the owners and management of low income neighborhoods with violent crimes, have "high level security" such as their (County Police) and demand for action of gun control in our communities, way too many children under the age 18 have access or own a firearms! just right here in the city of Dallas Texas.

I am calling the "village" of all Races backgrounds and nationalities to please stand with me by signing this petition and demanding the Roseland townhome community and all other low income communities that are deemed unsafe take action immediately! Signed Teaira Lyons
