We’ve got to do something with this!

Hi my name is Younes I’m 14 years old and I live in Norway. Since not many people bring up this case I will. In the past year, China have been particularly criticized for their treatment of the Muslim minority group Uighurs and the camps they have set up for them.  I would like us people to make a difference. We can’t make camps for Muslims and making them do things that are forbidden in their religion. I want us to stop this before it gets worse. If things are gonna change you’ll have to help me contact the government in Norway. I’m not asking for a concrete number of petition signs. But I just want the government of Norway to bring up the case. And let it reach out the the Chinese government.

China likes to defend itself by saying that human rights are also related to economic and social conditions. In this area, China has a better track record. They have lifted large parts of the population out of poverty in the last 10 years. China emphasizes that better economy and health also give greater freedom and are central human rights. The authorities in China are afraid that their economy will go bankrupt.
