A family member of mine was waiting for the light rail in downtown Sacramento at the light rail station near the capital when he was assaulted. He was knocked out cold and robbed. Thankfully there were a few people nearby who called the ambulance. Unfortunately there are no cameras at this light rail station so there is no way to catch these people. The light rail has become a place to prey on people and criminals are aware there are no cameras at many stations. I am calling to place cameras at all light rail stations in Sacramento to promote safety for the public.
