On September 15th, 2022, Indiana’s Senate Bill 1 will come into effect, which effectively bans abortions for the entire state with few vaguely worded exceptions for victims of sexual abuse or medically endangered pregnancies. 

 

By making Bloomington a sanctuary city for abortion, the city would not support the bill.  This would help people with crossing state lines to get abortions.
