#Ex-british   #colonies   #British

The British Raj or Colonial rule was carried out in inhumane ways at gunpoint. Many martyrs, entire generations are traumatized from the events that occurred. The mourning of the British Queen causes those in the ex-colonies to relive the trauma.[1]

Citizens of ex-colonies which are now under democratic governance will not mourn the death of the late British Queen. Israel does not mourn the death of Adolf Hitler or the relatives of other Nazi party members. In history, the people do not mourn the death of symbols of tyranny. It is not respectful to the freedom fighters of India who struggled for 200+ years against the British Raj to mourn the death of those associated with the British Raj.

It is not the duty of ex-colonies to mourn the death of oppressors. We, the citizens of ex-colonies, choose to look the other way in light of these events. In spite of opportunity, the British monarch has never issued apologies or made any impactiful reparations for their actions. Therefore, we cannot be expected to mourn for them. [ 1, 2, Jallianwaala bagh massacre: 3]

BBC news and other English based media continues to display a false image of the world where ex-colonies are mournful of the death of the queen.[6]

This is not an accurate image of our sentiments towards the English monarch. Many in these regions paid the price with their lives. It is a dishonor to them to grieve the passing of the monarch associated with perpetrating these traumatic events. [4]

The oppression has left nations in poverty, ruin and depleted them of their natural resources. [5] Many of us are still paying the price of the injustices that were carried out as the racism brought forth by their acts has become increasingly systemic.

Please appeal to your local leaders, ex-colonies will not mourn the death of the late British Queen.[7]
