Camdenton High and Middle are great
schools with a history of wonderful
learning environments. The students and
teachers love being Lakers, and education is
taken very seriously. The newly introduced
dress code is incredibly sexist and upsetting
to the student body. It has proven to be more
disruptive to learning than some skin
showing. For example, if a student is wearing
a cropped shirt or an item of clothing that reveals shoulders, it is considered "distracting" and is ruled by a penalty. If a student with larger breasts wears a skin tight shirt, she will be penalized. If a student with size A cup breasts wears a skin tight shirt, she will not she will be penalized. If a student with
size A cup breasts wears a skin tight shirt,
she will not have to worry about covering up. Men may wear hoodies and sweatpants if they want to feel comfortable at school. If women do the same, they will face unnecessary consequences because it is “trashy”. 
When will our administration learn that we
cannot control our bodies and how they
look? Our stomachs, shoulders, thighs, and
size of our tank top straps should not be
distracting to ANYONE. Why is the education of men important than that of the women? It is the responsibility of the school board to fix this serious issue. Sign this petition and keep Camdenton schools a safe place for students where they feel comfortable in their own skin and give them the ability to express themselves again.
